Welcome!

Thank you for stopping by! My Name is Amy and I live in Dallas, TX with my amazing husband and precious adopted daughter. I am in my early 40’s and the Lord has graciously taught me over the years that left to my own desires, I’m prone to be lazy, anxious and have comfort-seeking tendencies. However, where fullness of life is found, is in Him and the disciplines that come through seeking Him. So this is a place to talk about stewardship of all of His abundant blessings – A Relationship with Him, Finances/Budgeting, Health (encompassing food and movement), Time, and our Home. I believe in the concepts of “Not Majoring in the Minors” and “Minimally Effective Doses” – Jesus has told us His yoke is light and I don’t believe it’s honoring of Him and His care to worry and fret about every penny we spend, bite we take or second we spend, but an overall submission as seeing ALL things are from Him and to Him and belong to Him and how can we treasure and steward them as such.

Here you will find everything from reflections, recipes and routines that the Lord is using in my life and hopefully we can share things that help in this journey to be created more fully into His image on the Daily.

We enjoy God’s good gifts being in His creation, travel, really good food, experiencing other cultures, working out and basically any “adventure” of sorts.

LOVE FIRST

14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Colossians 3:14-17 ESV

Seeking to live to the Praise of the Lord’s glorious grace

The Good Gift of Food

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 10:31

Hide the Word in your heart

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Joshua 1:8

Be on Guard

12 Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall. 13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
